From record-breaking, ultra-thin movements to beautiful dials made of mosaic and stone, Piaget can always be counted on for dazzling jewelry and watches. And though the brand is mostly associated with formal evening watches right now, a new timepiece introduction might just change all that.
The Piaget Polo S takes a fresh look at the Polo watch and recasts it as a sport watch unlike anything the brand has done before. The unique round case gets updated with an oval “cushion-shaped” face in steel, and multiple color options grace the dial. The new style references the company’s design codes and history, but the result is something new and different—a perfect everyday watch.
Two styles of the Polo S will be available: an automatic in three color variations (blue, gray, and white), and a self-winding Chronograph in two (blue and white). The 42mm automatic ($9,350) features the Manufacture Piaget 1110P movement displaying hours, minutes, and seconds with a date window at six. The chronograph ($12,400) uses the Manufacture Piaget 1160P self-winding movement and adds two sub-dials, with a 30 minute counter at three and a 12 hour counter at nine. Both are water resistant to 100 meters, letting you take the Polo S watch just about everywhere.

To promote the super-wearable appeal of the Polo S, Piaget is looking not only to international brand ambassador Ryan Reynolds, but a very diverse group of nine guys located around the globe. Drawing from the world of sports, arts, and business, Piaget is hoping the Polo S will conquer men’s wrists from the polo field to the boardroom.
Considering how good the thing looks, we’re inclined to say that it stands a very good chance of succeeding.
