What better way to say ‘I love you’ than a pair of socks? We’re kidding of course. But it’s often a thought at the forefront of many minds when unsure what to gift, along with cufflinks and ‘Best Dad’ mugs. Father’s Day is fast approaching; it’s the one opportunity to really say thank you to the man who has shown you unconditional love throughout the years.
We asked three dads at Jigsaw Head Office to give us an insight to some of their favourite Father’s Day gifts and what they would like this year. Take a look at what they said and get inspired…
Alex Kelly – Head of Marketing
“My ideal Father’s Day gift is a lie in, breakfast in bed and handmade cards – anything other than socks or beer mugs. However, this year I’d also like an accessory; something like the Canvas Backpack Tote. Being a dad you have to be practical, but I don’t want to compromise when it comes to style.”
Josh Towb – Web Project Manager
“I usually get a shirt or two for Father’s Day, or something I’d never spend my money on – like luxury underwear. One of my favourite Father’s Day gifts I ever got was a huge bag of cherries (I love food). We ended up spending the whole afternoon in the garden spitting pips! This year I have my eye on the Pique Slim Dress Shirt from our SS16 collection. It’s a great shape and I love the finer details.”
Steve Wood – Senior Buy Production Administrator
“In the lead up to Father’s Day, my children usually ask me if there’s something I’d like, but normally I buy something for myself and my wife gives it to me from them; this year it’s an autobiography by Elvis Costello. Some of my favourite gifts over the years have been handmade cards complete with stickmen drawings of me riding a bike or drinking beer; but if I were to pick something from the Jigsaw menswear range, it would be the Leather Card Holder. It’s very handy when you want to travel light and don’t want to carry your wallet.”
