How to go Sockless this Summer

From summer sun to festival fun and everything in between, it’s important you prepare for all that the heat season has to offer this year. Whilst the way you look shouldn’t be your priority, there are summer accessories you can make to your outfit that – despite being subtle – can add a depth to your outfit that would otherwise go overlooked.

The key to these fine fashion details lies in accessories. Things like hats, bags and sunglasses often get forgotten about until the necessity arises, which is why it’s the perfect time to run through some essential summer accessories that are both practical and fashionable.

Hats

A style piece that will save your eyesight, hats never look out of place when the sun makes an appearance. There are a number of hat types that can accommodate summer, the two most widely worn being bucket hats and caps; caps the more popular option. Like all clothing in the heat, we recommend against darker colours as this will simply result in your head overheating.

With that mind mind, we have made one exception to this rule, that being the Adidas Originals cap. Whether black or navy, Adidas Originals are a staple in casual summer wear and the trefoil logo has almost become synonymous with festival season.

However, if brandishing logos isn’t your cup of tea then fear not, as there’s a huge variety of summer hats available on the website.

Sunglasses

Looking suave in the sun has never been so easy with sunglasses. Coming in a huge range of styles and shapes, there’s literally a pair for everyone, and if you disagree it just means you haven’t found your pair yet!

From timeless classics such as aviators, to the more weird and wonderful pairs that’ll have you standing out like a sophisticated sore thumb, such as the colourful Oakley Flaks.

Bags

Bags are never an issue until it comes to festival season and you need to smuggle as much food and drink into your tent as possible. Whether shoulder bag, backpack or a short handled carrier, bags are great for Summer in general where you’re going out on day trips more regularly and need to carry things such as water bottles, towels and sunglasses.

There’s a great range of styles and colours across a number of brands on the Mainline Menswear website, so when it comes to bags, we’ve got your back!
